Sculpture Gallery Het Depot is a museological podium for contemporary sculpture, focusing on the artist's development opportunities: from people for people. The collection of sculptures consists of torsos and fragments of the human body. The various exhibitions are spread over three locations, which are connected by two beautiful arboreta. Art, nature and architecture connect seamlessly at Het Depot.
The Orgelpark is the international concert stage in Amsterdam for organists, composers and other artists. The Orgelpark programming is leading and innovative, performed by top musicians. The Orgelpark also regularly is a workshop for young talent from Dutch and foreign conservatories. Furthermore, masterclasses and symposia are organised and commissions are given for new compositions. The Orgelpark is housed in the beautifully restored monumental Park Church on the edge of the Vondelpark.
The Leidse Salon is a new stage for chamber music in a special, historical location. Unusual top-level concerts are performed by famous musicians who have earned their spurs, but also by up-and-coming young talent. The concerts are performed in the most beautiful space of the completely restored monumental former orphanage on Hooglandse Kerkgracht in Leiden. The intimate Leithenzaal can accommodate up to 100 visitors. After the concerts there is an opportunity to talk and exchange ideas.
The Orphanage in Leiden is home to Utopa. This special location houses various initiatives in the field of people and society, with special attention to the development opportunities of children. For example, various children's rights organisations are housed in the Orphanage. The public can visit the Orphanage as part of our exhibition The Orphans Speak or for a tour of the Governors’ Chamber. Primary school classes can visit the permanent exhibition Orphan for a Day to form a picture of the daily life of children from the past in the Orphanage. Since the beginning of 2022, the Orphanage has been enriched with the sounds of the Leiden Salon.
The Idealenfabriek (‘Ideals Factory’) brings up changing themes that arise from utopian ideals. We did this between 2019 and 2022 with our conversations, our magazine Andersland, and accompanying recordings that can be listened to as a podcast. We not only want to talk about social problems through the Idealenfabriek, but also do more to remedy them. Together we can make society a little better!
